Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRS)
Early Achievers is Washington’s Quality Recognition System for child care providers. A statewide, research-based program, Early Achievers provides free support and resources to child care providers so they can integrate proven high-quality early learning into every aspect of their programs. Thousands of providers participate statewide – reaching more than 70,000 young children every day. Early Achievers participants engage in continuous quality improvement efforts and their programs have been validated by the University of Washington.
Early Achievers programs are rated in four main areas:
- Child outcomes
- Curriculum, learning environment and interactions
- Professional development and training, and
- Family engagement and partnership
